Think we're brilliant? Think we're nuts? Think we forgot something?

Sure, we could provide some forum here for discussion. We could collect your thoughts, keep them all under our control, and then one day, bang, they disappear. Or some other day, you decide you want to delete them, but you can't, because they're here, and we didn't get your email. And while all this is happening, we're so busy watching for problems, calming down fights, and stressing out over impending legal threats that we aren't making new features or spreading the word.

Trust us, we've been down this road. Six years down it, in fact. Luckily, we've got a solution.

The Interweb is bigger than this web site

Here's all you need to do:

1) Start a blog on a service like TypePad, LiveJournal, WordPress, or Blogger. Yes, a blog. If you already have one, great. If not, it'll take you all of 5 minutes to get one, and then you too will be internet famous.

2) Post an entry linking to the story you want to talk about. In your case, it was:

http://tastebetter.com/story/FDA-approves-cloned-meat

3) (And this is the important one) Make sure your blog is set up to ping Technorati when you update it.

That's all you need to do. We link to Technorati on every post, and that link shows you who's said something about us in the blogosphere.

We want to promote discussion without controlling it. If we can manage to inspire the creation of a thousand new vegan-friendly websites in the process, isn't that something to shoot for?
